Our house in Texas, Sony Cyber-shot.
Our Christmas card went out without our usual family update this year… no we didn’t forget. Instead, were waiting to hear the final word on the next chapter of our lives. Mr. DJ was offered a great job opportunity in London with a US consulting firm ! So as long as all the paperwork goes through without a hitch, we will be moving there late January or early February. Gulp!
We are all very excited about this move. It’ll be for three years, which somehow makes it easier to leave our family, our new house, and Roxi’s friends and her beloved school. Having lived in one place most of our lives, we are thrilled at the opportunity to see more of the world—our version of backpacking Europe.
So over the next month or so, we’ll be packing up the house, trying to pare down to the essential essentials, finding a flat in London, and looking for a new school for the girl. We’ll try to keep you updated on the latest.
Today I have an appointment with Trudy’s vet to see about getting her fitted with a European microchip. If you’re interested, you can read more about the PETS program.

Howdy JaPRA!
I noticed your comment on Bee Drunken and was intrigued by your great name. I really like your writing and your lovely photos.
Love the header pic – where exactly is it?
Fantastic Forrest–I am glad you stopped by! The header pic was taken in Prague in October 2006. I loved your header photo as well. Where was it taken? That horse and carriage look straight out of a storybook. Beautiful!
Thanks! That photo was taken at Killarney National Park in County Kerry, Ireland. As I recall, it was looking out from Muckross House. But it’s been a while, so I’m not entirely sure. I promise to go back there and visit so I can confirm the exact spot. I’ll just tell Professor X you needed to know. I am sure he will understand and buy me a plane ticket. Hee hee!
Ah, I thought it looked like somewhere over here. Secretly I was hoping it was in the States but thought it unlikely. Yes, please tell your Professor X that it is vital your blog readers know exactly where that photo was taken. I think it will take several weeks to verify. ;-)
