Yesterday…

Mr. DJ and I met with a client of his, originally from the UK. Though she’s lived here for 18 years, she still had some helpful things to tell us. One is look to the northeast of London for a place to live. She said it’s pretty there (though I am a city girl… not sure how rural I can go) and not a bad commute to London. She also has a friend who is a co-headmaster at a state school. It’s a pretty cool school that prizes international exposure for its students. Anyway, she said that she would give her friend a call this weekend to see if he might be willing to talk to us about Roxi and finding the right school for her.

We also talked to a property management firm. For 10% of gross receipts, we get:
1. Bills paid (from escrowed money)
2. Money collected from renter
3. They take care of evictions, if necessary (!)
4. Scheduling repairs/maintenance if necessary
5. More stuff that I can’t remember right now

The director of Admissions at Roxi’s school called us to let us know what we need to do to re-admit Roxi in three years—basically contact them one year before she enters so they can re-activate her file. She may need to test when she comes back, but this would be for placement (AP versus regular classes, language level, etc). She also reassured us by telling us not to over think this decision (do you think she could tell I was over-stressed about this?!).

We spent more hours online house searching, looking around the areas where we know about schools. I think we’re just going to have to go look.

Mr. DJ is going to talk to his new boss today about the status of his workpapers, etc.

I’m off to make coffee and wake up the girl.

Wow! Roxi writes like she’s 39! Are you sure she’s not a name that you like to write under?
