A Walk in the Woods

My parents brought the sun with them! Today we did a stroll through the very lovely Valley Gardens in Windsor Great Park. The air was cool and fresh and the blooms, though somewhat rain-beaten, were still very pretty and quite showy. The rhododendrons were still in bloom, though I bet two weeks ago they were show-stoppers.
This is the “Punch Bowl”. You can see that we just missed the big bloom.
Lunch at Saville Gardens. A little bit of this, a little bit of that. Cornish Pasty, Spanish chorizo and mozzarella panini, tuna and cucumber sandwich and sponge cake with raspberry creme filling. Tea and cafe Americano.
The Boss (my dad) took this one of the Savill Building’s ceiling. Designed by Glen Howells, the building is made of sustainable timber from the Crown Estate forests. It is really beautiful. My architect father was quite taken with it.
The outside of the building. The Boss took photos while Mom and I shopped for herbs. Filed Under: Blog • Outdoors • What to Do
