Settling in

A lovely bloom in the Valley Gardens, England.

I think we’ve reached the point in our time here. That would be the sweet spot where we, or at least I, feel like we’ve settled in.

The house is relatively put together. I have one armoire and two bookcases (coming on Thursday) to put together and then my art supplies to put away after that. Then, yes! I can do other things without the guilt of “should” looming over my head.

Unfortunately, Roxi caught a cold this week. Nothing like that first blast of germs one encounters starting school. I’ve made soup and she’s taking vitamins, so she’s on the mend. She had to stay home Thursday and Friday, though. Sadly, her cold has put a little bit of a damper on our three-day holiday. Just as well, though. Mr. DJ has lots of work to do.

I am spending the day looking through guidebooks. It’s time to start planning some vacations!
