“I am for… for Bath”

Upon my word, I shall be pretty well off, when you are all gone away to be happy at Bath!

–Mary Musgrove, Persuasion We woke up on Saturday morning to a blue sky—our first true blue in three weeks. Luckily we had an outing planned—to Bath.

No, this wasn’t my “girly tour” of the city. I promised Roxi and Mr. DJ that I would save the Jane Austen tour for another visit. This time we were going to see the Roman Baths, the Abbey, and just enjoy the city in general.

I will post more through the week. We have company–one of Roxi’s dear, dear friends from Texas. Mustn’t sit on the computer too long.
Oh My Gosh! It’s hailing and raining!

As soon as I wrote that, we lost power for an hour and a half! We must have gotten about an inch of pea-sized hail. Impressive, especially for July 9, aka Summertime. I think the temperature has dropped into the 50s.
