Bright lights

We’re going into the Big City today to take in a show. This is the last thing on our Summer To Do list (yeah, that’s pretty Type A of us, but if you don’t set goals…). School starts one week from today–what a short summer break. On the other hand, I think our girl is ready to start 7th grade.

BTW, if you are in London right now, August 17-31 is Kids Week in the West End. We found this out by happy accident, but right now you can buy one adult ticket, get a kid ticket free. That’s a pretty generous deal.

Here’s the link to Ticketmaster UK. And here’s The Deal: “A child (aged 5-16) goes free during Kids Week (17 – 31 August 2007) to all the performances listed when accompanied by an adult paying full price. You can also purchase up to two additional children’s tickets at half-price.There is a limited ticket allocation per show and all offers are subject to availability and not applicable to tickets already purchased.”

Sorry, Laurie, I decided not to haul around my big camera since we were just going in for the show :( I did see some shots that would have been great, though. Darn.

I know what you mean. Every time I don’t bring my camera, I regret it. I even take it with me when I walk the neighborhood. I need to get a really good tiny one. My Canon is a little bulky and my camera phone just doesn’t cut it.
