Gosh, hope no one needs to get around London this week. What a mess. Mr. DJ actually came home early yesterday because his line was shutting down at 5pm. I can’t imagine what it’ll be like in the city these next few days.

Oh, my goodness! One of my other Londoner blogging friends just wrote about the horrible London traffic last week and that was WITH train service. May the force be with Mr. DJ.
On the bright side, having survived the evacuation of Houston prior to Hurricane Rita, I’d guess you are generally unfazed by a temporary disruption of the transportation system at this point. Too, strikes are such an essential part of an authentic European cultural experience that not being terribly inconvenienced by one would be akin to going to New Orleans and not ordering a beignet at Cafe Du Monde.
Laurie and Sig–I’m just glad we don’t have to depend on the tube for our every day commute.
Sig–You are right! Ha ha. My cousin spent a year studying in Italy and her SCHOOL went on strike.
