When you pass GO please collect your algebra textbook

Roxi’s math teacher asked her to move up a level into 9th grade algebra (yes, she is in 7th grade and yes, she was already in 8th grade pre-algebra). Apparently Roxi did very well on her placement test last week. The teacher, who is known to be careful about who she accelerates, decided Roxi should be in algebra based on the placement test score, her school records from Texas, and her ERB scores. And no, I wasn’t involved at all, so it was a big surprise to me! The teacher left the decision up to Roxi, which I thought was nice.

I’m off to attend another expat seminar, number 2 of 3. This one ends up at a pub for lunch, so how bad could it be?

    Go, Roxi!

Have a nice lunch. Here’s a little mental toast to you guys. Let’s see 7:00 a.m. here (daylight savings time)? Either I’m a little late or you’re on your second pint.

    :)

It was very nice, thank you! But I just stuck to diet Pepsi. With lemon. And ICE, since it was offered ;-)
