MORE Candy?!

We are supposed to bring 270 pieces of candy for Trunk-or-Treat–so back to the store I go tomorrow. I was thinking Trunk-or-Treating was kind of a weird way to handle Halloween. However, it seems the British (for the most part) don’t “do” Halloween. Today, we saw houses with “Sorry, No Trick or Treat Here” signs on their door. I thought this article was interesting. This one too. I saw a police force was offering signs to merchants that say: “We will not sell eggs or flour to anyone under 18 until after October 31″.

I guess that “tricking” really is a problem. Someone told us that they had a rotten egg left at their door once. Nice.

So for tomorrow’s 30 minute Trunk or Treat, Roxi is going to be a rocker (blazing guitar/skull belt, rocker gloves, dog collar, Fender shirt, black and white Fender guitar, biker boots, skull ring). Too bad I didn’t think to buy pink hairspray at the costume store today. I wish I could just run down to CVS and pick up a can. And while I was there, I’d also get a bag of Brach’s Autumn Mix.

This is one of those days that I miss the conveniences of the good ol’ USA. As it is, I will have to wait until after 8:30 am to go to the store for more candy because the grocery store closed at seven this evening.

Roxi went from Lord of the Rings to full out Rocker in less than 24 hours?! They grow up so fast, don’t they? :)

Actually, it’s Rocker tonight, Elf on Friday night. My girl never went through the “dress up” stage, but she LOVES costumes now and generally prefers to assemble her own rather than buying one straight off the rack. Well, for about five years my mother custom made costumes to Roxi’s specifications. They were awesome!
