Business as usual

Trudy mid-bark. Just trying to get used to having my camera around again.
I wish I had something interesting to report about our weekend. Unfortunately, it was pretty much life as usual. Roxi is working hard to get her castle project finished up. This weekend, she finished building all of the pieces and is almost done painting them. Once that is complete, she’ll need to glue the whole thing down to the base, create a little bit of the Italian garden, and work on making some knights for the castle. I do wonder how she is going to get this thing to school–it’s huge!
As for me, I didn’t realize it, but I must have been a tad bit homesick because I made Texas chili, chicken fajitas, chicken and sausage gumbo and breakfast tacos this weekend. It turned out that both Roxi and Mr. DJ wanted chili, too, so maybe it was something in the air.
By the way, no need to worry about us weather-wise. We had on-again-off-again rain this weekend with about 5 seconds of hail on Sunday. This morning, it was quite blustery with winds gusting to about 45 MPH and heavy rain. I understand parts of Britain are under a flood and damaging wind (up to 85 MPH) watch, though.

Your weather is sounding very similar to our weather in Connecticut this weekend! Good luck to your daughter on her project!
alyson–Hope you guys stayed dry :-) Thanks for the luck! The project really isn’t due until April 10, but Roxi’s determined to get most of it done before Spring Break.
Cool action shot! And, yes, I would say from your eating choices that you are homesick. Personally, I am so looking forward to Swiss Chalet chicken when I get home this summer. :) And wine gums. :)
I want to hug Trudy’s neck!
Laurie–I’ll give her one for you :-) She’s a real sweetie.
Barrie–Wine gums!!
So glad about the weather not being a problem for you. Sorry to be away from reading you for so long. I was on deadline AND then I got the flu! Mimsy
Mimsy–Poor dear! I hope you are feeling all the way better.
