Over the next couple of weeks, I will be writing about the trip we took to Germany and Austria in June. As I complete each post, I will link from here so that eventually, this post will serve as an index. For now, however, it’s my to-do list–haha!
- Munich, Germany
- Alte Pinakothek and Pinakothek der Moderne (Art museums)
- Documentation Center Nazi Party Rallying Grounds in Nuremberg
- Dachau Concentration Camp Memorial
- Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau Castles
- Dutches Museum, Munich
- Salzburg, Austria
- Festung Hohensalzburg (Fortress in Salzburg)
- German Beer and Food
- Oom-pah bands and Buskers
Today, our friends S and Y are coming over for lunch and then Roxi’s friend Y will stay over to record some songs.

You did so much! I feel badly that I didn’t even ask you (in person) about your recent trip . . . but I promise to comment profusely on these posts — as and when they appear.
What are you making for lunch?
What an amazing journey you have ahead of you. Safe travels if I don’t have time to check in before I head off on mine. I sadly posted my last English post today. Lucky you to have more time to explore Europe.
Looking forward to hearing about it! Good luck to Roxi and her friend on their recording session!
Bee–We had (and still have!) lots to chat about. :-) I made Moroccan Chicken with Couscous and a leafy salad. My friend brought dessert, yummy M+S treats.
Sarah–We had a good time, but it was one of those vacations that required a recovery period after. Your post today was really lovely. I am convinced I (or at least my husband) must try punting.
Alyson–Well, they were doing a little singing earlier, but now they are on the phone talking to another one of their friends! I think they’re just digesting lunch first. It’s hard to sing on a full stomach ;-)
Sounds like fun!
Pamela–It was. And really interesting.
