Kids Week in the West End

We have Roxi’s friend “H” from Texas here for the next couple of days. But I just wanted to stop in to say, if you’re going to be in London August 15-29, and you have a child, AND you both like musical theatre, you can take advantage of Kids Week in London. The deal is buy one full priced adult ticket, get one child ticket free to a number of West End Shows! Roxi and I and our friends S and Y are going to see Zorro the Musical and Roxi and her dad are going to see Spamalot.
We went to Thorpe Park today. It was so loud! But I got to sit in the sun and enjoy an entire afternoon reading while the girls rode the crazy rides. It was nice to unplug for a while.

Sounds like fun and I wish I could take advantage of that deal!
I NEVER knew about the Kids Week thing. What a good tip. Unfortunately, we are going to be away . . . as we always are at the end of August. (Maybe this is why I don’t know about this?)
BTW, Spamalot is hee-lariousn — Roxi and Mr. DJ will love it! I hope they can get good seats, though, because that theatre has some real nosebleed seats. It is the “steepest” theatre I’ve ever been in.
How is the Tremain? I keep eyeballing that in the bookstore?
Alyson–The tickets are still quite expensive (like $100+ for the adult ticket), but yes, it’s great. We have AWESOME seats for both shows. Last year we saw Wicked and were about eight rows from the front and smack in the center.
Bee–I stumbled upon it by accident last year. We do (at least I think we do) have fabulous seats for Spamalot. Three rows from the front, dead center. Hope it’s not too close.
I just finished “The Road Home” this morning. I loved it and was sad when I turned to the last page.
