This beautiful weather can’t last, I just know it can’t

Over our back fence. England.

This pampas grass is so pretty this time of year, especially when the light hits the feathery tips just right. When I was in elementary school, my mother took me to an allergy doctor to find out all the things I was allergic to. It turned out that in addition to chocolate (ahem), I was also allergic to a slew of plants including this one. Somehow, though, pampas grass doesn’t bother me here.
I am off to have lunch with my friend S. Her daughter (one of Roxi’s best friends) has been out of school for nearly a week and a half with a combination cold/asthma attack. Poor dear!
Tonight, Mr. DJ, Roxi and I are going to the City to see a musical. As for our weekend plans, I don’t think we’ll get to do a walk since rain is in the forecast. Maybe we’ll try for something indoors.
Have a great weekend!

Allergic to chocolate?! You eat it though, right? How do you make that work?

    Enjoy the splendid weather!

  2. Just a Plane Ride Away says:

Alyson–Yes, I have always eaten it, so I am not sure what that positive test was about ;-)

like cream in my coffee makes me sneeze, but I have it anyway! Love that pampas grass picture. I was trying to take some pictures of the fall grasses but couldn’t get a good shot from my car when I saw them.

What musical will you see? We’re going to ‘the sound of music’ next week.

  4. Susan in St. Paul says:

    Have fun at the musical!

I am supposedly allergic to it too. I do get allergenic shiners if i eat a lot of it.

  5. Pamela Terry and Edward says:

    Magical photo. Like a painting!
Enjoy the musical, and review, please!

  6. Just a Plane Ride Away says:

Christine–I see so many things I’d like to photography while driving, but usually I don’t have my camera or there isn’t a safe spot to stop. Oh well…

    Susan–”Shiners” as in black eyes?

Pamela–Thank you, that is a nice compliment. I will write about the musical on Monday. :-)

  7. Susan in St. Paul says:

Just- Yep, like two black thumb prints under the inner part of my lower eyelids. It could be from the artificial vanilla too, I suppose since I don’t get them with all chocolate all the time or amount.
