Barrie–I think you’re right. In Texas, we could drive outside of city limits and buy fireworks, but I’m not sure where one could shoot ‘em off.

I think where you live in the US determines how available fireworks are. When we visit my in-laws in Oklahoma, there are stands at the side of the road. You buy your fireworks there, then go home to set them off. So different from San Diego County!

Tell Bee to do facebook! It's totally worth it. I think of facebook as a little more grown up than myspace. Even my mom is on it for heaven's sake! :-)

I hope you are feeling totally back to normal again. Oh, and in New England we can let off fireworks in our backyard if we want. I think in Texas you can't because it's so dry. We don't have that problem up here.

Hope you’re feeling better. A lot of my friends are wary of Facebook, I think it’s the age group (hovering around 50). Unfortunate, as my kids have hundreds of friends.

I created a facebook account a couple of months ago, at first I was super excited because I reconnected with friends from Texas. It’s just the neatest feeling to “see” someone that remembers you when you were 12! Now, I check it about 3 times a week, I enjoy reading the status lines and it’s good for a laugh or to completely drain some time by answering movie trivia quizzes. Apparently, I’m quite the expert. ;)
