Happy Thanksgiving!

This is not a rude gesture. I asked Roxi what I should say in my Thanksgiving post and she made “Turkey Hands”. Photo on my Blackberry Pearl because I’m too lazy to boot up my other computer for Photoshop

Today I’ll start cooking our Thanksgiving feast–we’re doing our meal tomorrow, remember? I’ll start the pumpkin soup, assemble the stuffing and mashed potato casserole, marinate the cucumbers, and make the cranberry sauce. Tomorrow I’ll make the pie, cream the spinach, and bake the ham (I’m actually giddy about trying this!).
It is weird to shop for Thanksgiving here in England. The stores aren’t packed with last minute shoppers! The only ones shopping like mad are the Americans. As for me, my tiny refrigerator has been stuffed for days. I just need a couple of things, so I’ll stroll into the grocery later today for fresh spinach and apple cider. I decided we really need spiced cider for the tree trimming.
Blessings to you and your family on this American Thanksgiving day!
PS Thought you might get a kick out of this article from the Times Online. :-)

Happy Thanksgiving to you, dear! We are counting our blessings, thinking of the First Thanksgiving in America. But you don’t have to be a pilgrim to be thankful!

    Christine–Ack! I did. Oops.

    Rebecca–She’s a funny girl :-)

Mimsy–Do you think blessings = number of calories consumed on Thanksgiving? If yes, I’ve thousands of blessings. ;-)

I hope it turned out great. I’ve never spent a Thanksgiving in England. Are they even aware of it?

Calories are BTUs. They are blessings of a sort! xoxMimsy
