Snow, snow, hidely-ho

Trudy wishes Stella, Edward, Molly and Josey could come to play. Snow is so fun! I made this video yesterday, btw. No snow predicted for tomorrow. But there is more snow in the forecast for Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Mr. DJ took the Eurostar to the Continent yesterday afternoon. He gave up on the airport, especially since there is a possibility of more snow later this week. We did not get a lot of snow last night. Just flurries, I think. The other 4-6 inches predicted for our area must have gone somewhere else. It’s a beautiful clear morning. Blue skies, pink clouds. The birds are singing, so I think that is a good sign.
It is treacherously slippery in my driveway. The places were we walked yesterday are now patches of thick ice. Our neighbourhood roads are still under snow and ice, but the main roads are clear.
Roxi and I took Trudy to the vet today for her annual boosters. The vet said Trudy had “love handles” and needs to cut back a bit on the food. The dangers of middle-age, right Trudy old girl?

Trudy running off her “love handles” in her favourite field after the vet visit. Photo taken on my cell phone, a Samsung SGH-J700
[Edited to add: I just realized that this is my 500th post!]

Happy 500th!!!!
Love the snow pics!
*sigh*
No snow for me.
Congrats on 500!! Wow!
Trudy looks like she was in heaven. And in all that white, it looks like heaven.
Holy Cow! 500!!! Jeez, you are my idol!
Hi Japra,
Loved the video We’ve no snow yet but it’s forecast !
Happy 500! You don’t look a day over 450!
Congratulations on the big 500!
But I think it is just wrong of you to disclose Trudy’s private medical information. I would be totally mortified if someone told the world via the internet that I had been diagnosed with love handles.
You’d better hope no one tells her about this post. Poor doggie.
I love that video! So cute!
I am in two minds about getting more snow; in one mind, I love it . . . but in the other, I want my family to go back to school/work!
500! I am in awe.
Oh! Can you imagine how much fun it would be if Josey and Molly and Trudy could meet? That would be fab!
Oh, I love Trudy! She looks mahvelous, too!
funny video, poor Trudy..what? Happy 500th..how was it driving in the snow though?
500 posts? Congratulations that’s a real milestone!
Love the video.
I’m fed up of the snow and cold now, looking forward to Spain at half term. :)
Happy 500th post! You gotta lovethe snow. I have been off work for a couple of days (based at a school, haha) and enjoyed the luxury of waking up later than usual and the white scenery before my very eyes. Nice images.
Greetings from London.
Congratulations on you 500th post.
Yes, I’ve bee watching all the snow news from England with great delight!
Everyone seems to be having a fine old time of it.
Dogs especially!
BSR–We have been enjoying the snow very much! Roxi and Trudy spent a long time out in our garden and have totally squashed the pretty puffy snow. It looks a mess, but it was fun while it lasted.
Alyson–Thank you! We all have been having too much fun. It’s such a treat to have snow and two whole days off from school.
Audrey–Well, I don’t know about that. But yeah, it’s a lot of posts!
Barbara–No snow? Truly? Perhaps that is a good thing??
PD–Aw, thanks, hon! ;-)
Fantastic Forrest–Trudy doesn’t mind too much. Plus she was showing off her agility in the field today. I thin she was mocking me. Yes, I am pretty sure she was.
Bee–EVERYONE is at home? I think Roxi is ready to go back. She says she doesn’t want to, but I think she misses her friends.
Emm–I think they would have a lovely time together! Trudy can be a little shy at first, but she warms up and likes to run around with new friends :)
Chris–Trudy is the sweetest dog. I am sure she and Scout would be great friends! She likes to make art with snow. Mainly deconstruction, though ;-)
Christine–Trudy thanks you for your sympathy. The driving wasn’t too bad. It was only really icy/snowy on our neighborhood streets. I drove slowly and tested my breaks before I ventured out into the main roads. Everything was clear, however.
Akelamalu–Ok, this is too weird. We’re going to Spain too! Where are you going?
A Cuban in London–Was there much snow in London? I understand the transpo was still a bit dicey today. So glad you got to enjoy a couple of days off!!
Elizabeth–England with snow is about as magical as I imagined. I am so happy that we got to see this country blanketed in snow.
Trudyyyyyyyy!!!! And congratulations on Post #500!!
That was without a doubt one of the cutest things I have ever seen! Congratulations on your 500th!!
Laurie–She’s so cute, love handles and all.
Xoan-Whan–Thank you! I am glad you liked it :-)
It sounds like Snow Days are way better than Hurricane Days. When that happens around here I’m rushing to the store for bottled water and canned soup.
Here’s a great picture of Oxford snow

I’m pretty sure if it snowed in Florida it wouldn’t look this good.
Julia
Julia–I know about hurricane prep too as I’m from Texas. I am here to tell you that snow days are better :-) I love that photo of Oxford. Beautiful city. Thanks for stopping by!
I think Molly would dive right in and be friendly. Josey has to wear a muzzle anyway in public because she is skittish and insecure (comes from being abused as a baby). Still, she shows amazing gentleness and good behaviour around our cats, I am sure she would be fine once she got to know a dog!
Emm–It is wonderful that all of your furry children get along. They are all so beautiful. XX
Why thank you m’dear!
Can’t help it. Love writing and must say, Trudy you make my eyes water. Many moons ago, I had a dog named Marilyn. Her hips swayed and every time she did that in certain seasons, she had puppies. Lotsa them – we did not want to give them away even as adopted, but too many to care for and love all together.
Enjoy your European living.
