Ash--Thank you, it is one of my favourites too.

Julia--It is a sight to see, that is for sure. Some of the bushes are as big as a house.

Fantastic Forrest--LOL! That is a funny idea for a photo book. Hmmm. apparently Beatrix Potter was obsessed with fungi. I guess I'm in good company.

Lucy Lucia--Luckily there are some beautiful parks in Town. But yeah, nothing beats a lovely walk through the woods.

Sarah--Yay for Stella! I am glad to hear it.

Vicki--Windsor Great Park is huge. You can walk all the way to the Castle, which I find amazing!

A Cuban in London--Thank you, friend. The legs on the log belong to my daughter. She certainly has the joie de vivre thing down pat!

What a fantastic post! And I loved the images. For some reason, my favourite was the one where someone (you maybe?) is walking on that log barefoot. It conveys a sense of freedom and abandon hard to to explain with words.

Many thanks.

Greetings from London.

Thanks for sharing your spring morning – I can see the bounce in Trudy’s step. My dog would be in the stinky bog with Trudy if she could.

My favorite photo is the one of Roxi – even without her top half, her character shines through.

It must be so hard to move away from this natural beauty, but I’m sure you’ll enjoy London too.

What a wonderful walk! And how uplifting the blue sky photo is. Yesterday it was so grey here. I think I will put this photo on my desktop to keep from sinking into gloom. :-)

As for your thousand photos of stumps, I sense a best-selling coffee table book there...especially if you throw in a few fungi!

Great photos - amazing how different the park looks in full color (I love links!). So I guess the South didn't invent azaleas? Hmmm...

Julia

Bee-Trudy has such a big smile that her tongue can't help but loll out ;-) And I know what you mean about Spring! We keep getting these beautiful days and then FROST in the AM. I'm so confused! As for being an Expat, I think you're right. It's easy to be content and think we'll be here indefinitely, but the truth is, change is in the wind...

Laurie-- :-) I thought you might like this post!

Chris--I like your travel philosophy. We like to get in a bit of walking on all of our trips too.

Akelamulu--Thank you! I love to take Trudy photos when she's running around like that. She's so happy here :-)

Pamela--Trudy has a great interest in squirrels too. There aren't a lot (any?) in the park, though. Lots of birds, but Trudy ignores them. It's funny! She also has a great interest in Foxes. But not mole hills.

Expat Mum--We are counting on the big parks in town. I hope there are places we can have Trudy off leash!

Great photos, but there are some great parks and great walks in London. That's what I miss in Chicago. We have great places to walk (when it's above freezing) like the lake front and Lincoln Park, but no great big heathy places. And it's all flat.
