I wouldn’t wish this on anyone

Roxi and I took Trudy to the vet yesterday. Let’s just say, if you’re a dog owner and you’re wondering why your pet is paying particular attention to the area back there, read this (do not eat while reading this!). The rest of you, please feel free to skip. Suffice it to say, it took me four hours to feel like cooking after the vet visit. UGH.
In more pleasant news, Mama DJ is coming into town. Roxi has a show tonight at school. She’s in three skits and singing a duet with one of her friends. It’s been so busy lately! And I really am feeling the need to start organizing our things in earnest now. I dropped off six large bags of clothes in the donation bin on Monday. It was a good feeling in a way, but also it made me realize how much STUFF we have. We pared down so much when we came to England. I wonder how lean we could go if we really wanted to. I have actually enjoyed living without so many things.
I just noticed this the other day. There’s one near my local Waitrose too.

First of all, as a card holding member of Pink People Unite I am thrilled to find out that there are members of our group going strong over in England. Our efforts at all things pink have been going well here in the US (all of those breast cancer awareness products are really our doing).
Second, eeeewww. I know someone who, to save money, takes care of that business herself with her dogs. Another reason for me not to own a dog.
Luckily Molly, my labby, doesn’t have problems with the end bit so to speak, but she does have such a fragile tummy!
Avon has a nice range of pins and items that support breast cancer awareness. I hope to run the Race for Life again this year and definitely look forward to dressing up all in pink this time!
Julia–I don’t know how your friend does it. The vet told me some dogs need, um, “expressing” every 4-6 weeks. This is our first time to come across this lovely condition. The vet said that it probably is a one-time thing. Fingers crossed. It really was revolting.
Emm–Roxi and I changed our clothes after we got home. And we didn’t even come into contact with the stuff. Then I had to lie down for a while to recover. And yes!! It would be great if you did the Race for Life again! Pink head to toe! Pink hair!!
Oh, my!
I love the pink bra bin! I think it is fabulous. I am getting my daughter pink scrabble for her birthday!
Too bad about Trudy. Roxi is so creative! She was very brave about the audition you mentioned earlier. You have been busy – time well spent! A bra bank?
On the post below – I’m totally envious of your shopping trip with Bee to Daunt books. What fun! I miss London.
My friend has a dog that scoots all over the place. She always thought that it was allergies or something of the sort. I clicked the link to read the artiicle, and while absolutely horrendous – I sent her the link!
Yikes! I thought that was only a male animal problem, of course I mainly know about guinea pigs and newts…
On a more pleasant note, Roxi is SO lucky to so her Gran so often!
I hope Roxi’s gig is a huge success!
I shouldn’t have read it – yuk!
I’ve decided to skip reading about Trudy’s ailment — although you have piqued my curiousity!
I’ve never seen a BRA box!
Tell Roxi to break a leg — and btw, I’ve given you an award. ;)
OK, I skipped the treatment bit, but could not miss the photo. Brought a smile to my face. Many thanks.
Greetings from London.
Laurie–Yeah.
Tawny–*I* want pink scrabble. Didn’t even know there was such a thing!
Sarah–I know! London is chock-a-block with wonderful stores, museums, restaurants… Sigh.
Lucylucia–I hope your friend’s dog has something simpler!
Susan–We are so lucky Mama DJ can come for these overnight visits.
Chris–It was a great show, thank you!
Akelamalu–Sorry about that!
Bee–Thank you for my award!!! I love it, as you well know :-)
A Cuban in London–It’s hard to miss, eh? One wonders where my head is when I can walk past a bright pink box like that and not even notice until months later!
That box contains the truly supportive–and uplifting! Hurrah for the pink fight. And God bless them! xoxMimsy
Mimsy–You are too clever ;-)
