Ah, the joys of living near London

From our front garden.
I was supposed to go into Town today to take care of a little paperwork for our move to NL, but the G20 summit has made things a bit crazy here at the moment. Mr. DJ’s company told people to work at home yesterday and today unless they absolutely have to be at the office. So I guess I’ll stay home too. No need to get caught up in that mess when I can just go in tomorrow, right?
And speaking of the G20, I found this amusing article (“G20 summit: welcome to the city, spruced and sanitized as only presidents see it”) on the Times website today. This one was pretty funny too. (“Protocol is abandoned as Michelle Obama cosies up to the Queen”). And wow, live G20 blogging.

Couldn’t see what all the Obama fuss was about.
Micelle made the Queen look like a midget….but then she is quite old now!
The G20 summit’s in the news here too…good and bad. They’re saying the queen broke protocol and put an arm about Michelle’s shoulder…
Prince Philip put his foot in it again – no suprises there then!
Elizabeth–In a way I would have liked to have seen all of that fuss in Town, but at the end of the day, I was glad to be out here with the sheep. MO is so tall, isn’t she? Lucky girl.
Christine–I think I would not be a very good politician or politician’s wife. All those rules!
Akelamalu–LOL
