Ha! Some of those made me laugh. Which is yours? The bottom middle one?
Some of those trailers look almost Amish don’t they? Very old school, old world for my city slicker eyes.
oh my goodness – how wonderful! I know my daughters would love the wagon style ones – they’d want to set up a picnic and have me ride them around!
Coooool!!!!!!!!!!!
Interesting collection of bikes Quite fancy a DeFietsfabriek Would be an improvement on my current model and what loads it could transport when i go bargain hunting
How fun! But how do people stay dry when it rains? What happens when it snows or the streets freeze?! So many questions…
Lovely post! looks cool and misty there.
Are you enjoying Holland?
I totally envy you.
Biking in New York is too hot right now.
I love your bicycle posts . . . especially for the nostalgia factor (because it was a bicycle post which first introduced me to your blog).
Is there any place in the world better at bicycles? I think not.
What an amazing array of human-powered vehicles!
I think this is a reason why so many people in Europe are thin and so many folks in the U.S. are fat. And yes, in case you’re wondering, I haven’t ridden my bike in several years. It is such a different mind-set here. Cyclists around here take their life in their hands with so many crazy, arrogant, impatient drivers.
Sorry for the rant. Great photos!
Those Dutch cargo bikes (De Fietsfabriek – thanks Barbara!) are interesting, never heard of these before. And they get to ride in the bike lanes…ingenious.
I love the tradition of bikes there. Great photos! Keep them coming.
That’s a lot of different bikes! Lovely photos.
That’s quite an array of bicycles! :)
HAY! I mean, hey. We’re going to try to take the train to Amsterdam when we go to Paris next year. These bicycle pics are AWESOME. if we alk around instead of ride, will people laugh at us?
Are you really?!?! I’d love to meet y’all if we’re still here (and if you have the time and inclination). And no, you’ll be fine walking. Just don’t walk on a bike path or you might get hit! Or at least someone might ring his or her bell at you…
