All is quiet again

Nine swans in the canal near our house.
Mama DJ was in town from Texas yesterday. We had a lot of catching up to do…
Roxi’s first day of high school was yesterday. She came home with lots of stories..
Today I find myself with seven quiet hours alone in my Dutch house…
I think I’ll do a little art.

just beautiful! what a gift it is to see something like that. so simple and yet so stunning.
Wow…that must have been a lot of work – getting those swans to do that…ha.
So have you been looking at the clock all day counting down your time to when you’re “on” again? I think that’s what I’ll be doing on Monday when I get 3 1/2 hours ALL TO MYSELF.
How quaint! How storybook!
Enjoy your quiet times.
Love your swans.
So glad you are settling in in Holland.
As regards blogging sites
Blogger is by far the easiest to navigate
wordpress is very artistic but seems too complex to the uninitiated
Typepad seems ‘cool’ but I’m sure I will discover its limitations pretty soon……….
So that’s where they got that Christmas refrain! Make art or Just BE. Hope the day is super.
It’s so neat how they are all lined up like that! Have a great day and make lots of art!
I always get the numbers mixed up in the song, but it *is* “seven swans a-swimming”, isn’t it? What an incredibly neat picture!
What a lovely and unusual picture!
Glad Roxi’s first day at school went well.
Will you show us your art?
Unless you come across eight pipers piping I think you’ve got your Christmas card for this year! How very cool. Glad Roxi is enjoying school and happy for you that you have time for artwork. You must be very organized—to have moved in so recently and be seemingly unpacked and ready to create. I moved in last October and am still unpacking and organizing (granted, everyone else moved here in stages so maybe I should cut myself some slack.) Have a great day.
That photograph made me laugh! There is just something so ludicrous and whimsical about that line of swans.
Do you feel like you have your “ducks in a row” after all the upheaval of the summer? I’m so curious to know what Roxi thinks of her new school. My friend from Peru has just arrived in England to put her youngest daughter in TASIS for the first time! Yikes! England to Peru is a long way.
