Well, I am very lazy, so I think I would choose the car :o)
But isn’t it amazing all the variety of wheeled vehicles that you can see around here in the Netherlands? Especially bikes with all those different carts to take your kid/s, dogs, the shopping, etc… I still find it remarkable!
I am not familiar with your Wordless Wednesday tradition – are comments allowed? :o)
If they aren’t, just delete my comment!
Aledys, comments are always welcome! You know, if I had answered this question two weeks ago, I would have said “car” too. But we’ve had a couple of traffic/driving nightmares these last two weeks, so I am going to have to say… bike! Guess I’ve gone native ;-)
Oh! i love the bike with sidecar! Always fancied them when I was a kid!
♥ chaitra
Chaitra, can you believe that sidecar looking thing is a stand alone bike?! I’ve seen a handful of these in the bike lanes lately. They’re so funny but cute at the same time!
It sort of makes me think of a mini-wheel theme park. How far do people travel in those little cars? What kind of roads do they go on? (Nice to catch up with you again!)
Mimsy, can you believe it’s a bike?! I don’t know if it is helped by a motor… my guess is no. I’m going to do a bike post soon and will answer your question then, if that’s ok. XO
Ha Ha! The bike on a sunny day and the car on a rainy one.
LOL, Bee. It rained most of last week and I did NOT want to go out on my bike. I was really lucky and it only sprinkled on me. But we got some really torrential downpours. I was glad I wasn’t out in that!
I’ll have to go with the car! That’s quite a collection of wheels you spotted!
Christine, I was driving to Roxi’s school and spied all those wheels. Luckily I had a stop light (and a camera in my purse). It was a well timed shot ;-)
Wow there is just about every thing but roller skates :) Bicycling might be fun, but a car (with a hardtop) makes me feel the most secure.
Sukhmandir, one does feel a bit vulnerable on a bike, but it does help to have very good bike paths here in the NL. And for the most part, the drivers are very courteous to bikers–probably because they are cyclists themselves!
That lady bug bike is hilarious! Also, is that a scooter using the bike crossing? I’d (of course) choose a bike. But that’s in my fantasy world where I don’t have to haul kids around along with everything that “has” to stay in my car: XXL beach bag from Land’s End with sunscreen and beach toys, umbrella for the beach, 5 umbrellas for rain (counted them), beach mat (so cute, it’s in pink and yellow), extra tote bags (for when I’m feeling green), stroller (can’t get rid of it yet..you never know when someone is going to freak out and can’t walk).
Julia–I am trying to picture you with all of your gear! Photo, please :-) And yes that is a scooter on the bike path–good eye! Do you go to the beach very often? We don’t go nearly enough to suit me :-(
okay….my shame will be exposed for the whole world!
About the beach. I wanted to perform an experiment this summer in which we went to the beach seven days in a row. I wanted to see if we’d get tired of it. The kids refused on the grounds that they didn’t want the beach “ruined” for them. I think I did manage 4 days though – I did feel like that was enough.
I haven’t been since Thursday.
