When in Belgium…

Always enjoy a lovely beer with your meal. (Isn’t that blue bottle pretty? It’s sparkling water.)

And if your travelling companion asks if it is time for chocolate, always say “yes”.

We were in Gent yesterday… more later!

It’s 6:30 am and I suddenly NEED chocolate! That truffle one looks especially good.
Sorry about that, Julia! They were all delicious!!
Oh yummy! Your post made me laugh. I had a short stopover in Brussels once and I bought myself a pint of Belgian beer (and I was super proud that I actually drank it) and I bought some chocolates too. Belgian chocolates are my favourite kind of chocolate.
Oh, you are good! Those beers are tasty, but I can only do a few sips otherwise I’d be snoozing under the table. So far, every beer we’ve tried in Belgium has been so fresh and good. I agree about the Belgian chocolates. The best ones (so far) have been in Bruges. They were really, really fresh.
:o) Now I so want to go to Belgium. For real like, not just stopping over.
Hi there ! There’s an award for you in my blog.
Cheers!
Thank you, sweet Anita! That is such a pretty one too :-)
Do all restaraunt in Belgium have cozy dark wood paneling? Also, methinks I may run to the campus bookstore for some chocolates…yeesh JAPRA!
I feel the need to apologize for the chocolates! However, all things in moderation, yes? Hope you enjoyed your chocolates.
Oh, and not sure about the panneling… this was the first time we sat inside a cafe in Belgium. Usually we like to sit outside, but it was too cold the other day!
love your photo with the blue bottle, it looks so artistic.
Thanks, Christine! I wanted to take that bottle home…
If in Belgium, I would always say yes to chocolate, too!
The reflections on the glass really are very pretty. (Never mind the beer, though; I will take that sparkling water, thanks.)
Bee, I can only do a couple of sips of beer myself or else I’ll find myself napping ;-) The sparkling water was nice and seemed extra festive in those flutes.
