Well, this kind of cliche I don’t mind a bit! Beautiful!
I was so glad to see these windmills so beautifully preserved. It is a beautiful area :-)
Hey, I’ve been there too!!! Love the visit across the pond!
It is such a lovely spot, isn’t it?
Oh, that is so cool. I can’t wait until the ultimate cliche – that same scene in Spring time with red and yellow tulips!
I cannot wait until the tulips! I have my wooden shoes ready ;-)
Hee hee! I have miniature wooden vlogs that my Mum and I picked up when we stopped over in about 1977.
it looks like people live in those – I wish I was biking on that path!
We wished we had brought our bikes too. It looks like there are some hiking paths along there too. A pretty place to be sure.
Are those windmills houses? Wouldn’t it be neat to live in one?!
Lucylucia, there are houses below the windmills. Not sure if the keepers have rooms there, but the one we went into had a museum and shop in it. I’ll try to find out and report back.
Oh those clouds! where exactly JaPRA if you don’t mind.
Maureen, it’s Zaanse Schans. Have you been there?
Fascinating shot, I’ve been there but now I want to go!
I know! I was just there two days ago and am already contemplating another visit :-)
oh my gosh, just like in Hans Brinkler and all those books! totally romantic
Oh you make me want to go back to NW Europe
How stunning! Sounds like the best staycation and you got Belgian chocolates too. Roxi did do a good job with her Disney photos, but I still find that place creepy.
Amazing! I’m glad you took the picture for us.
