  1. I enjoyed our trip on the river too!

  2. Jane Gaston says:

Great photo… is that a crane in the background? So incongongrous (sp?) with the old architecture.

    • japra says:

Yes, I was so put out by that crane, but then I decided that it wasn’t so bad after all. Gent was such a mess when we visited last week. So many streets dug up. I hope to go back when they finish all that road work so I can see it better.

I love the perspective of this shot – so cool!

  4. Julia Smith says:

Hey, other Julia – I say cool, too.

What a beautiful ‘street’ scene. Just love it!

  5. Cool image! I can’t imagine how thrilling it must be living in storybook land. Fun post about windmills bellow too. I really enjoyed the tour!

Sarah, sometimes it’s very surreal to live here. It was the same in England. Sometimes my thoughts get so big about the places I visit that I just need to sit for a moment and let it all sink in. Glad you liked the windmills.

  6. Emm says:

That is a really lovely one! I love the perspective and the view of the viewer! I like the crane in the background actually – it gives you an indication that this is a recent photo.

  7. I love it wish i could look through! What a beautiful and intriguing view. Happy WW

Gent, Belgium is a gorgeous city, Sukhmandir. Sadly, so many roads were under construction when we were there, but I say that just gives us an excuse to go back :-)

  8. AlisonNetsel says:

    What a beautiful photo!

    • japra says:

Thanks, Alison! Gent is a beautiful city. Unfortunately, a lot of the streets are under construction right now… We are planning to go back when things have cleared up a bit.
