Interesting coffee, or perhaps it is a biscuit of cookie of some sort. Happy WW
Good call, Sukhmandir! It is coffee and a stroopwafel :-)
I love the way tea and biscuits are served in that part of the world. Lovely photo!
Actually, there’s coffee in that tea cup ;-) But yes, the lovely biscuit is unique to the Netherlands. A stroopwafel!
I love this picture. The blurry background is great. You should paint this!
Good idea, Julia!
This reminds me of a tea set that my grandmother used to have.
Stephanie, I was lucky and found a bunch of these in a couple of charity shops in England. They made a very nice souvenir.
Lovely cup and I love those cookies!!
Kathy, do they have Stroopwafels in Germany? I love those German spice cookies that are available at Christmas time. They are coated in sugar… Pf…something?
Lovely, looks like a food stylists work. Love the colors with the blue willow cup.
Happy WW!
I love my blue willow cups too. Thank you, Canine Crusader :-)
I want one! And to sit on the other side of the table with you. Interesting to see that Halloween is spreading in the posts below.
Sarah, it would be beyond lovely to share a cuppa with you.
Tea for one?? It’s better with two!
Happy WW!

Dragonfly Lady, you are absolutely right! Oooh, but sometimes I like to be all by myself with a nice cuppa and curl up with a good book :-)
I say, what is a stroopwafel? Looks like it would at least help keep the coffee warm.
Stan, a Stroopwafel is a delicious cookie that was invented in Gouda. When you put them on top of your coffee cup, they warm up the syryp between the two crispy waffles. Mmm!

love the cup and saucer…the cookie too!
Thanks, Christine! Yeah, those cookies are too addicting.
Good morning in Dutch, right? I love that cup. I was looking at purchasing a new set of dishes and was considering that pretty blue and white design of Old British Castles from Wedgwood – it was on sale!
Very good! Did you buy your Wedgwood?!
They ran out of stock before I made up my mind. Although now I’m looking at “Friendly Village” on the Wedgewood site. I would have thought it was absolutely hideous about 3 years ago, but I just think it looks so cute and charming. Something happens when you turn 30…all boring/stuffy/old fashioned stuff just looks warm, comforting and sweet.
Interesting tea cozy!
Good one, Tricia! ;-)
Yes please, and I’ll dip it right in my coffee too.
You got it, Robin! :-)
AAaahhhhhrrrggggggg…..Now I want to go HOME!!!
Sorry about that, Carmie :-( I have a feeling Stroopwafels are going to be high on my “What I miss about the Netherlands” list. I am not sure I have the patience to learn how to make these lovelies either…
