Boot weather

BootsTeen boot fashion.

The girls/women here love their boots! And speaking of, I got a new pair of black leather ones this weekend. My present from Sinterklaas :-)

I did a bit of Christmas shopping today–a lot of online stuff (mostly books… hope my family isn’t reading this LOL!). I need to venture out to the stores later this week and see what other goodies I can pick up. When I was in the Centrum on Friday, most all of the Sinterklaas decorations were already down and traditional Christmas decorations were up.

Good news, I found our Christmas ornaments! Bad news, still haven’t located the tree…

Boots…now I can’t get them out of my head. I think I may add a new item to my Christmas list and just see what happens!

I swear it’s either boots or converse here for the teens. It shocks me to see so many women in high heels and high heel boots, especially with the cobblestone and slippery wet conditions. I’m getting boots when in USA for Xmas. Good luck finding your tree.

The last pair of boots that I wore were a maroon pair of Ropers with ATM on the front in white leather.

    Jealous? :)

(I gave them away because…1)boots & Florida don’t mix and 2) they no longer fit after children.)

LOL, Julia! Maybe you should have saved them. I brought a pair of black ropers over with me… still haven’t worn them yet, but I see that faux cowboy boots have been in style on this side of the pond for a while now. Maybe I should dig ‘em out ;-)

Watchword: a missing treasured ornament will be found just AFTER the tree has been taken down. 8-) It was in a *special place* for safety.

Heh, those “special places” always throw me off, Kathy! And I ALWAYS miss an ornament in the tree when it comes time to put everything away.

I’ve navigated a fair number of cobblestone streets in heels–carefully–but only in heels that are an inch or two in diameter. I don’t know how people do it in stiletto heels!

I would love a good pair of boots. Sadly, my calves have other ideas. Still looking…

Good luck with your tree! Ours went up this weekend, and I decorated it yesterday evening. The cats have mostly left the ornaments alone–at least for now!

Anne, like you I’ve had trouble finding the right boots for my calves… I actually thought about having a custom pair made when I was in England last year (I wish I had!). I finally found the right pair last week and as soon as I slipped them on, I knew they were MINE. :-)

Oh gosh, when we had cats (ages ago) they used to climb our Christmas tree and sit in the lower branches. I forgot all about that! LOL

The other day I was at an Xmas lunch with about 10 other women and I realized that all of us were wearing similar (just to the knee) leather boots! And even though they make my feet look like rather like dwarf feet, I do love my Uggs at this time of year. They keep your feet so warm and cozy!

    Have you found the tree?
