It’s cold again

In the Centrum. I’m wondering what those gold crown decorations are for…
Roxi said the opening meeting for the Model United Nations convention was pretty cool. The princess (I am guessing this one?) spoke, which I would have enjoyed seeing. Ah, the good old days when the school would ask for parent chaperones. Now that Roxi is in high school, I have to hear everything secondhand ;-)
The temperatures dipped below 2o-degrees Fahrenheit last night. Brr! It looks like we may get a little snow at the end of the week.
About the Author: JaPRA is an expat Texan living in England with her husband (Mr. DJ), their 17-year old daughter (Roxi), and their dog Trudy.

Wouldnt that have been great to be a chaperone? ? What a great experience for Roxi!
Michelloui, Roxi has done so many cool things since we moved from Texas! I hope she doesn’t take this stuff for granted ;-)
Lots of delegate teens on the tram last night trying to figure out the strippenkart. I felt like an old hand.
LOL! By expat standards, Kim, you ARE an old hand ;-)
Bitter ass cold here! Tell Roxi good luck! Stay warm!
Yeah, 16 degrees tonight. But back up to 39 tomorrow. Sigh.
The next time you’re at the Centrum could you please climb up and snag one of those crowns for me. I’ll pay shipping.
How cool about Roxi seeing a princess – I’ve noticed that there are no more chaperoning opportunities too – thank goodness! Field trips in Florida are B.O.R.I.N.G.
Julia, I was thinking Mardi Gras when I saw them! I must find out what they are for.
I was just wondering about those crowns too today as I walked to the post office (the one on this same street)! What are those for? I wondered if it had anything to do with the Queen’s ‘state of the union’-like speech, but I don’t know when that is.
Jen, when I first saw them I wondered if they were left over from Christmas (too late for that), then I thought Queen’s Day (not until April), then I wondered… Mardi Gras? If you find out what they’re for, I hope you’ll let me know!
Lucky Roxi, sorry you didn’t get to go!
I KNOW! Guess I have to make my own fun now, huh? ;-)
It has been quite cold here in Houston, too. Poor College Girl in Virginia is in her second blizzard–but she has some cute snow boots!
Oh, your poor baby! But, hey, cute snow boots work :-)
