Roxi “live” for a limited time

Roxi Divas Lament

Here’s a link for Roxi’s “Diva’s Lament” performance from this weekend’s talent show. I’m not sure how long I’ll leave the video up, so if you want to see it, best to watch it now! ;-)

BTW, does anyone have any tips on filming stage stuff? All my videos look like this–really washed out.

She’s great! What a fun song to sing too! Has she done any plays? She sounds and looks like a natural.

I think your video is cool – I bet you (from one knowing absolutely nothing about video-ing) that it has more to do with the light on the stage than anything else.

Julia, she’s been in every musical thing she could be in since she was three, LOL! Up until last summer, she wanted to be a star on Broadway/West End, but she had a bit of an epiphany over the summer and realized she wanted to concentrate on her music (voice and piano). She still loves musical theatre, obviously :-)

Unfortunately, I think you’re right about the stage lights.

oh my God, she’s so powerful on stage! Incredible! She did great, really gave it a lot of character!
    Gefeliciteerd!!! :o)

Thanks for the kind and enthusiastic words, Aledys! When she was practicing at home, she did a lot more singing and less characterization, but I think this song definitely called for the Drama Queen to come out, LOL!

    Great pipes! And great personality!

Kathy, yeah, good thing she’s in voice lessons. She tries to be really careful with her voice. I have a video of her from the winter concert where she sings without a mic–it’s still nice and loud ;-)

    She is fantastic!

The Diva has arrived! Very funny and well done. Clearly, her audience loved her, too!
