I think it’s fixed now…

Mr. DJ in Houston last December. Coffee in one hand, phone in the other ;-)

I think (hope) Mr. DJ fixed my redirect problem. It was a nasty little script someone had stuck in one of my blog files. If you’re still experiencing troubles, I hope you’ll let me know!

This weekend we had a very strange thing happen–a spontaneous Wardrobe Malfunction! LOL ;-) Actually what happened was we were all downstairs when we heard a tremendous CRASH! It sounded like someone had fallen down the stairs. After making sure Roxi, Mr. DJ and Trudy were fine, we agreed that it sounded like something fell upstairs on the third level. When I went into Roxi’s freshly cleaned room, I saw that her wardrobe unit had broken (split at one of the screws) and fell forward tipping over her bookcase (filled with shoes) and a tall skinny dresser. Essentially everything on one side of her room had fallen over domino style. What a mess! I am just glad no one was hurt. The only good thing that came out of it was that I got to sort through Roxi’s clothes and got rid of things that she no longer wore.

Other than that it was a very quiet and restful weekend. Lots of fog and cold here so we just stayed inside. And speaking of cold, I hope all of my East Coast friends and family are staying nice and warm after that snowstorm. 27 inches of snow!!

Wow they just don’t make them like they use to.

Kathy, it was a real case of you get what you pay for. I had a commercial clothing rack in Texas that I so wish I had here. Well, a walk in closet would be even better!

Wahay I can visit again! So glad you’ve fixed the problem I just didn’t date visit before because it caused so many problems!

It’s lucky Roxi wasn’t in her bedroom when the wardrobe collapsed!

  3. Emm says:

Yay! I hope it is fixed! I’m in the library right now and nothing untoward is happening.

That is pretty scary about the wardrobe. As tenants, we haven’t attached ours to the wall and I live in fear that something similar could happen to us!

Emm, dear, thank you very very much for letting me know about that dumb script. There are pluses and minuses about being on Wordpress…

And yes, we don’t dare put holes in the walls here… but I try to position the furniture in a way that if something falls there will be minimal damage. I think Roxi did a little too good a job hanging up her clothes!

No problems with the page today. I *will* email you if anything untoward happens again. How annoying that some folks have nothing better to do with their time (and computer skills) than make trouble for decent bloggers!

wow, scary about the wardrobe collapse! glad you’re up and running again. That’s a funny photo of Mr DJ multi-tasking!

What I don’t understand about Europe…why it’s okay not to have a closet in a room…and what is the deal with someone messing with your blog? Did you find out who?

    • japra says:

Julia, I am not sure about the closet thing here. We had a house in Texas that was built in 1920 and the closets were a joke. Apparently the closets were taxed like a room back then, so I guess they kept things small. Well, probably they didn’t have lots of stuff either…

As for the blog, apparently it is a common Wordpress virus (or whatever it’s called) out of Russia. Meanies.

  7. Oooo. Sorry to hear about the wardrobe. You certainly seemed to take it in stride.

Like the photo. My husband always drinks coffee from to-go cups with the lid off too.

    • japra says:

Tricia, my husband says he drinks the coffee like that so he can smell it and so the drink cools off faster. I keep the lid on because I’m a klutz ;-)
