Nice picture of the city waking up in the snow. I’d see something similar in Reno some mornings if I managed to get up that early. Hey, wait a minute. Didn’t you used to live in the UK?
I was in the UK! But we moved here last June. It looks like we’ll be moving back to the UK in about four-ish months. Can’t believe we’ve been here for almost a year! The Netherlands is a beautiful country :-)
The lights seem like coffee to waken the morning.
You are so poetic! Indeed it does :-)
I could not believe it when I woke up to more snow today. I thought it was over finally! I loved it in the beginning, but I’m over it now.
Ha! Well, I don’t mind the snow as long as it’s a little at a time. I readily admit that I am ready for the Tulips :-)
Nice picture from the warmth of your home. So ready for Spring!
Yes, I wasn’t really very excited about going out in that cold…
I would say it is beautiful…and it is. But get another foot today, after 2-3 feet this weekend, I am a little weary of snow this year.
Yikes! I think 2-3 FEET of snow would make anyone weary.
Great image. I like the light on the roadway and the dark trees above. Creates a nice line of light.
Thanks, Topiary Lady! I liked those things too :-)
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas…
LOL, it really did ;-)
It’s been snowing on and off here all morning, thankfully it’s not sticking!
Akelamalu, I remember we had a couple of “snow days” last February in England. It was wonderful! But I was so happy when the daffodils started blooming :-)
The city is waking up! Nice photo – didn’t you have the feeling that we were done with winter for a while?
Aledys, I was so sure Spring was around the corner. I mean I knew it wasn’t, but it kind of faked me out for a little while ;-) Still, the last two days have been so beautiful–maybe just a wee bit cold.
Oh that reminds me of my street yesterday. I has already scheduled to take a personal day if our school stayed open because of the snow. When my alarm went off I shuffled over to the window, saw streets covered in snow and went right back to bed!
Excellent! I love those go back to bed mornings. Especially with a fresh cup of coffee and an excellent book :-)
That’s a great view! :-) Happy WW!
Dankjewel, Carmen! It’s living theatre out there :-)
great pic!
Thanks, Laura :-)
Lovely to look at, especially from inside!
Exactly right, Maureen!
You must be a morning person!
Sadly, no. But I have become one since Roxi started school. I even wake up at 6AM on the weekend. It’s sad :-(
Beautiful! It’s snowing here in north Texas (Gainesville) this morning too! Just found your blog last night – can’t wait to “catch up”…I lived in the Netherlands when I was 11/12 in a town named Ziest or Zeist (can’t remember the spelling) and I loved it there! My daughter has visited Amsterdam once and will be going back this summer. Have a great day!
Hi Carol, it sure is great to hear from a fellow Texan, especially one who has lived in the NL! How exciting that your daughter will be visiting Amsterdam this summer. I am sure she will have an amazing time! The summers here are so much milder than our scorchers in the Lone Star State.
Thanks for dropping by and for saying hello :-)
Oh, what a lovely photo! What time was it taken? It is light for me already in the mronings when I go to work and by the time I leave work. Of course, it took me a little while to cotton on that the pale, bluish stuff was in fact daylight!!!
Emm, this was taken around 7:30. The days gradually are getting longer, I am happy to report.
