Letting Spring in

It’s a glorious morning here in The Hague. Blue skies, sun, milder temperatures. I’ve shed my winter coat for now and am enjoying this warm respite. I see we have “heavy snow” predicted for Saturday. Boo! Winter, you were charming at first, but I’m so over you.
Lucylucia asked me yesterday if we were affected by the storm (Xynthia) that hit much of Western Europe last weekend. We were very fortunate and only had a bit of heavy wind and a steady rain–nothing like the torrential weather our poor neighbours to the south had to endure.

The weather forecast said 8 degrees here today but up to now it’s only 4. Enjoy the Springlike weather, glad to hear you didn’t suffer from the deluge over there.
I’m sure it’s going to be beautiful there when Spring decides to show up for good.
Here it’s more of the same…just slightly different temps…I’ll get to see Spring in La. though…I’m planning on buying some Zyrtec to help me get through it.
That is such a charming picture . . . um, I can smell that fresh air.
I’ve just been running errands in town, and I bought a sandwich to eat beside the river. Even though it is still pretty brisk, it is BLISS to feel the sun after its long, long absence.
I’m glad you all missed that weather – it just looked horrible. St. Louis is getting up to 50 degrees this weekend and I can hardly wait!
great to let some fresh air in! it’s gorgeous here too.
I love how you capture the vision of spring in that open window – beautiful and evocative shot. It’s still chilly in Maine but the grass is starting to green. I’m sure we’ll get more snow. I hope your storm isn’t too harsh.
I love this photo!
Isn’t it wonderful these last couple of days? This incredible sunshine? Oh, spring IS just around the corner…
How was it then? Did it come in or just lingered around the house for a while and then wondered off? ;)
That is exactly what happened here in Slovenia. At the moment we are looking at a couple of days of snow and cold.
