Butterflies

If you look carefully, you can see Roxi’s school bus (really a coach bus) through the trees. And just look at these trees! So different from February or even May.

Gosh, it’s so exciting here lately! I told Mr. DJ that I have butterflies in my stomach when I think about next week. Good butterflies!

We knew this move was for real when Trudy left us on Wednesday. We hired a companion to escort her to England. She’ll stay with a pet sitter on that side of the Channel until we get the keys to our house at the beginning of July. I am sure Trudy is thrilled to be in England again. I can just imagine her lying in the grass in the evening, nose in the air sniffing all of the lovely English smells that she loves.

I had great plans to prep some posts to schedule for next week, but here we are on Friday and I have nothing planned. I am going to try to post something every day next week, but at some point I’m going to have to give up. I’ll check in next Friday for sure, though. If all goes well, we should be in England by then!

In the meantime, if you’re into this sort of thing, I’ve created a JaPRA page on Facebook. This page is open to the public, so if you don’t feel comfortable putting your real self out there, this probably isn’t for you. But, if you like “liking” groups and chatting with similar-minded peeps, I’d love it if you joined us there :-)

PS Thank you for your kind and encouraging words on yesterday’s post. It was a tough decision to pull Roxi out of “regular” school and let her go the online route so she’d have time to study her music seriously. I don’t think it’s necessarily the right answer for just any kid, but I think Roxi is disciplined enough to make this work. More to come!
