Sometimes I feel like this: Venus of the Rags by Michelangelo Pistoletto.

Edited to add: I forgot to mention that I saw this interesting exhibit–Exposed: Voyeurism, Surveillance and the Camera.

Was the coffee cup and discarded sugar wrappers an exhibition? It’s so hard to tell sometimes these days with this whole modern art thing.

I saw the Venus in Rags at the Kröller-Müller here in the Hoge Veluwe National Park:

    Have a nice day!!

  3. I love Tate Modern but not that Madonna. Like the first commenter, I first mistook the second image for an exhibit. At least the view from the Tate is spectacular. Fun to see the Willow pattern back below to signal the return to the UK.

Venus of the rags? That will be me with our post-holiday washing to do.

Bee, I am glad you can relate. Sometimes it feels like that laundry pile never shrinks! Though I am happy to report we have a regular dryer in our new house, so no more messing around with emptying the condenser dryer.

can totally relate to the venus of the rags — great shots!!

Though I know it wasn’t the artist’s original intention, I do wonder how many people (moms in particular) can identify with this venus? :-)

Oh, me thinks I have Museum envy. I love the TM and almost as good as the view is, the cafe and THOSE TEAPOTS are enough to make my heart flutter.

    • japra says:

I’m with you, Maureen! I love going to the museum cafe after a few hours of museum-ing and reviving with a nice cuppa and a slice of something sweet :-)

I love the picture of the bridge through the window – very interesting perspective.

I can relate to the Venus of the Rags – I strongly identify with the rags for some reason!

Is that honey you put in your tea? A friend brought me honey in packages that look just like that (from Switzerland). People are always jealous when I use them :)

Oh, I went to the Tate and loved it and haven’t seen it for 15 years and I’m GLAD you got to go! I hope to go again before another few years pass…
