What’s making me giddy

This room.
Connected to this room.
And this lovely beast. And there’s a scullery a step away as well!
It’s been just about a week since we moved into our new house. This has been the smoothest move ever! We love our new home–it is a combination of all of the good things from each of the five homes we’ve lived in over the last four years (two of those homes were in Houston). My friend Kim asked me if all of our stuff fit in the new house (a valid concern!), and I am happy to say yes, everything fits perfectly. Roxi said that it seems as though this house was made for us.
Speaking of Roxi, she has been such an invaluable help this time–unpacking and organizing my studio and our junk room, helping with the kitchen, running errands with me, etc. What a gal! She told me it’s because we haven’t had Internet, LOL! In the comments last week, Kerri mentioned that it might be nice to be unplugged for a few days. Indeed it was. Funny how much work can be done without modern day distractions. Haha!
It has been so nice to move to a place where I don’t have to figure out every single detail (and try to translate every word). That can be so energy draining. At least this time I have a bit of a clue about stores, knowing a little about how to get around and how to navigate these English roads whilst driving on the left!
Oh, in case anyone is wondering, we give our new Nespresso machine 5/5 stars. It is AWESOME. You can see that someone was very excited to receive it last week :-)
Ja, Aledys, wij eten één of twee koekjes met koffie!
