We were in London

Roxi and I were in town yesterday to meet up with a friend of mine here on a mother daughter trip. They were running a bit late, so Roxi and I settled on the steps under the Millennium Bridge to people watch. Sitting there, I thought of this video by the Pet Shop Boys: London
We are enjoying a very quiet break–really nice after the craziness of the move. I do hope to take a short day trip to the coast, if the weather clears up. It was gorgeous yesterday, but today we woke to a small storm. The wind and heavy rains knocked quite a few fruits off of our pear tree.
Oh, here’s a video I made yesterday on the train ride in. It’s the last six hand a half minutes of our train journey (Clapham Junction to Waterloo, for those of you who might be familiar with that route). I like to take these little videos every once in a while, thinking that one day when we move back to the States, they will be nice reminders. But I thought for those of you who have ever wondered, it might be interesting to you as well. It’s not very exciting (in fact it’s probably quite dull! Maybe you’ll want to listen to some tunes while you watch it–LOL), but if you look carefully, you’ll see the Battersea Power Station, Sotheby’s, Parliament, the London Eye, and more. I uploaded it in HD, so you can select the higher resolution if you’ve a fast internet connection.

good for you for taking a break and spending time with roxy – sounds like it was a blast! xo
You reminded me of this classic song by the Dutch (from Zeeland) band, Blof: Liefs uit Londen(Love, from London) :D

I like making this kind of videos, too, even if then they all look a bit the same – but somehow, the minute you see then again, you remember the mood you where in, or where you were heading to, etc. Love it!
Liefs, uit Zwolle!
Thanks for the train trip. I needed to get away for a bit.
thanks for the neat video, enjoyed it and did recognize the London eye.
