We started off drinking a blend of fruit and vegetable juices once per day. But on Wednesday, we started drinking a smoothie (fresh veggie/fruit juice + frozen berries, a banana, live yoghurt, and museli) for breakfast and a veggie/fruit juice mix right before dinner.
Things we’ve juiced: apples, pineapples, carrots, melons, limes, lemons, ginger, kale, spinach, celery, cucumbers, beets, kiwis, tomatoes, bell peppers, courgettes.
Things we’ve blended with the fresh juices: mint, frozen berries, bananas, live yoghurt, museli.
Things I want to juice: Brussels sprouts, broccoli, watercress, parsley, grapefruits, parsnips, alfalfa sprouts.
And other things to blend in: avocados, Brazil nuts, cherries, mangos.
It’s all delicious! Some of the combinations seem like they’d be awful, but they are truly good. I think we’ve drank more fruits and veggies in the last seven days than we’ve eaten in the last month. If you’ve ever wondered about juicing, Jason Vale does a good job simplifying the the process. Cherie Calbom has a good site too.
