On Spring Break–back in a week!

I’m heading into London today to get some NL paperwork done. Then I’m staying in Town for the afternoon because Mr. DJ and I have a date! (Roxi has a sleepover). We’re going to dinner and a musical–it’s one I wanted to check out before taking Roxi to see it. I wonder if anyone can […]

Life and …

“If we could see the miracle of a single flower clearly, our whole life would change.”  –Buddah This afternoon, I got a message from a old friend of mine in Texas. Her husband passed away yesterday. It was like a fist in the stomach, this news. I had a hard time believing what I was […]

I’m glad it’s Friday

We’ve had some really stunning mornings this week. I think it is safe to say we have made through another “100 Days of Darkness”. Thank goodness!! Roxi has a sleep over tonight at her best friend’s house. Tomorrow we are going to see an opera in London. I am hoping we’ll have time to take […]

The middle and upper school band concert last night was so fun. Thank goodness they didn’t play Christmas carols, as that […]

Busy week

Spider webs always remind me of the children’s book Charlotte’s Web. I try to think nice thoughts about them, but sometimes it’s hard. Webs can be pretty, though. Lucy Lucia has a nice photo on her blog of a web full of water drops. Over the last couple of weeks, I’ve noticed that it has started to get […]

Weekend wrap up and other random stuff

Eh, don’t get too excited, we actually had a very laid back weekend. Both Roxi and Mr. DJ were tired, so we pretty much just did nothing all weekend. It was great! Roxi found out that she was selected to play Eulalie Mackecknie Shinn in her school’s Fall musical, “The Music Man, Jr”. I think […]

We went to the park yesterday

and Trudy found a friend, a very handsome doberman. . She and he said hello. Though it seemed like they’d be fast friends, . the Dobie’s owner said… “Come along, then. She’s too young for you.” Trudy was flattered. After all, she’s almost seven.
